Service Description
In this hands-on six-week course, you’ll design and build your own custom ceramic lamp using either the potter’s wheel or hand-building techniques—your choice! Whether you’re drawn to the smooth curves of wheel-thrown forms or prefer sculptural, slab-built creations, this course gives you the freedom to bring your lighting vision to life. We’ll guide you through each step of the process: shaping the form, designing for function and light flow, refining your piece, and adding decorative details. You’ll glaze your lamp and finish with a lighting kit so it’s ready to plug in and glow. This journey is the perfect blend of functional design and artistic expression. No prior experience is needed—just come ready to play with clay and leave with a fully functional, one-of-a-kind lamp. Course Includes: • 6 weekly sessions (2.5 hours each) • All materials: clay, glaze, firing, and lamp hardware • Choice of wheel throwing or hand-building • Instruction tailored to your experience level

Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Our full policy on Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges can be found here: https://thewheelhousenh.notion.site/14d1653845c380968d0ae586c0c310f7 Below is a simplified summary: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, we will help to reschedule you into another class if you give us a call at 603-368-1017. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
