Service Description
🔥 Raku Workshop: Get ready for an unforgettable two-part Raku adventure! Raku is a fiery, fast, and totally unpredictable Japanese pottery technique that celebrates imperfection, spontaneity, and beauty in the unexpected. Part 1: Create Your Pieces (Monday) 🌀 10:30 AM – 12 PM: Throw or hand-build your Raku forms 🥪 12 PM – 1 PM: Lunch break (BYO!) 🔹 1 PM – 3 PM: Trim and refine your work You’ll use special Raku clay to make up to two pieces. We’ll bisque-fire them during the week to prep for the real magic… Part 2: Raku Firing Day (Saturday) ☕ Glaze in the morning using bold, reactive Raku glazes 🔥 Fire outdoors and watch your red-hot pots pulled from the kiln and dropped into cans of blazing sawdust and leaves—crackles, smoke, and drama included! This hands-on experience is equal parts fire, fun, and surprise. If you love bold finishes and want to try something wildly different—this one’s for you!

Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Our full policy on Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges can be found here: https://thewheelhousenh.notion.site/14d1653845c380968d0ae586c0c310f7 Below is a simplified summary: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, we will help to reschedule you into another class if you give us a call at 603-368-1017. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
