Face First into April: A Face Plant Party!

Spring is finally here, and with it comes our April theme—Planters! 🌿 The flowers are starting to peek through the soil, and I’ve been leaning into that energy in the studio, throwing small pots and giving them some personality—literally.

Lately, I’ve been using our lovely B-Mix clay to throw little pots off the hump, trimming them when they’re just hard enough, and then—my favorite part—sculpting faces right into the walls. A little water, a few well-placed finger presses, and suddenly, the pots have eyes, noses, and expressions of their own. I’ve been calling them Face Plants (because, well… they’re planters with faces. Obviously.)

And honestly? I can’t stop making them.

So, who wants to join me? Let’s make a day of it! On Saturday, April 26th, we’ll be hosting an All-Day Face Planter Party! 🎉

🌀 10:30 AM – 12 PM: We throw our planters

🥪 12 PM – 1 PM: Lunch break (BYO lunch!) Nom Nom!

👀 1 PM – 3 PM: Time to give our planters some personality—sculpt those faces!
