Step 1: Always remember to wipe your bisque-ware clean before adding any glaze. Any dust left on could cause issues with the glazes sticking to the pot.
Step 2: Study some of the test tiles to choose your glazes wisely. Make sure you have a notebook to write down your notes and choices.
Step 3: INSIDE THE BOWL
Alli’s first glaze application is the Celestial Blue, a MN Clay Company glaze.
Mix up the glaze and get a measuring cup to pour the glaze into the bowl (for the largest bowls that won’t fit completely in the bucket for a full dip)
After you pour the glaze into the bowl, quickly rotate the bowl to make sure the glaze covers the entire inside. Alli does this above the glaze bucket so the excess glaze can fall into the bucket.
You may have glaze that has spilled around the outside of the bowl- Alli wipes that clean
Step 4: OUTSIDE OF THE BOWL
Once the glaze on the inside of the bowl has dried. Place the bowl atop your left hand - holding it over the bucket.
Fill the measuring cup with more of the Celestial Blue glaze and then slowly pour the glaze on starting at the foot of the bowl and letting it flow down the walls and into the bucket.
Rotate the bowl as you pour to try to cover the whole outside of the bowl.
You may accidentally pour glaze onto your arm- but that’s better than poring too slowly and making the layering of the glaze too thick. One layer. Quick.
Step 5: place the bowl down and let all of the glaze dry. Grab the latex Wax resist and a brush that can be dedicated as a wax only brush.

Alli used the latex Wax resist to paint circles on top of the celestial blue layer. Make sure to do a couple layers of the wax so that it will be easy to peel off later.
Let the wax dry completely!!!
Step 5: ACCENT GLAZES 1: Dragons Breath Red
Using a glaze paint brush- preferably a bamboo brush which holds a lot of glaze in the bristles, to add an accent of color on top of the Celestial Blue.
Alli dipped the brush into the DB Red bucket and swiftly painted circles around the dried wax resist. Just lemon sized ovals of red glaze to add a pop to the glaze combinations see below:

Step 6: TIME TO PEEL THE RESIST!
Using a needle tool, carefully poke into the latex wax resist to grab a corner up and begin to peel the wax resist off.
Once all of the wax resist is peeled off. It’s time to add the next Accent Glaze Color. Gloss White!
Step 7: Fill a Squeeze Bulb with the mixed white glaze - taking the tip off of the bulb, squeezing the air out, submerging the bulb and then letting go under the glaze until it fills.
Use the bulb applicator to squirt on trails of white glaze. Alli squirted curves and ovals to match the other shapes being used in the glaze decoration.
Let all of this dry!
Step 8: ADD THE FINAL LAYER OF GLAZE!
Using the same method as in step 1, pour the last glaze into the inside of the bowl and then onto the outside of the bowl.
Alli chose the Metalic Green glaze as the last layer. So this glaze will completely cover the inside and outside of the bowl- on top of all of the other three glazes!

Step 9: DON’T FORGET TO WIPE YOUR BOTTOM!
