Service Description
Join us for a playful, nature-inspired three-session workshop where you’ll create a unique ceramic piece for the birds! Whether you want to handbuild a hanging bird feeder, a tabletop bird bath, or another decorative garden piece, this class will guide you from start to finish. 🌿 Day 1: Learn the basics of slab construction as you shape the main form of your project. 🌿 Day 2: Refine your piece — carve details, smooth surfaces, make drainage and hanging holes, and add decorative touches like texture or sculpted elements (yes, we’ll have sprig molds ready!). 🌿 Day 3: Explore creative surface decoration with underglaze painting, glazing techniques, color layering, and brushwork to give your piece personality before its final kiln firing. Perfect for all skill levels, this hands-on workshop will leave you with a beautiful, functional piece to welcome and delight the birds in your garden or backyard.

Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Our full policy on Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges can be found here: https://thewheelhousenh.notion.site/14d1653845c380968d0ae586c0c310f7 Below is a simplified summary: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, we will help to reschedule you into another class if you give us a call at 603-368-1017. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
