Service Description
Bring your imagination to life in this 4-Week Handbuilding Creature Sculpting Series at The Wheel House. Whether you’re new to clay or looking to expand your skills, this class invites you to explore form, texture, and storytelling through the creation of your own ceramic creature. Using hand-building techniques like pinch, coil, and slab construction, you’ll design and build an animal of your choosing—from beloved pets and backyard wildlife to exotic or even mythical beings. Guided by Morrow, you’ll develop your piece step by step, focusing on structure, proportion, and personality. In the first week, you’ll learn foundational techniques and begin forming your sculpture. During weeks two and three, you’ll refine your piece and add surface details like fur, feathers, or scales. In the final week, you’ll glaze your fired work, bringing your creature to life with color and finishing touches. A few weeks later, you’ll return to pick up your completed piece. No experience needed—just curiosity and creativity. All materials, tools, and firings are included. Before your first class, start thinking about the animal you’d like to create and bring a few reference images for inspiration—the more, the better!

Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
