Service Description
Create 2–3 wheel-thrown vases in this special 4-Week Floral Vase Workshop at The Wheel House. Designed for intermediate potters, this course focuses on forming petite to medium vases and bringing them to life through thoughtful surface design and beautiful glazes. During the first week, you’ll throw and shape your vases, creating forms that are both functional and expressive. In week two, you’ll refine your work through trimming while exploring optional carving, texture, and subtle form manipulation to add personality and detail to each piece. Week three will focus on glazing your finished vases, preparing them for the final experience of the workshop. For the fourth and final week, Amanda from The Yarrow Woman Farm-to-Table Blooms & Bouquets Garden will join us for a special hands-on floral arranging experience. Surrounded by seasonal blooms, you’ll learn how to thoughtfully fill and style one of your handmade vases using fresh-cut flowers grown right on the farm. This collaborative experience celebrates the connection between clay, nature, and community—bringing your finished work fully to life. At the end of the workshop, you’ll head home the very same day with your bloom-filled handmade vase. All materials, tools, firings, and floral arranging instruction are included.

Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
