Service Description
Unleash your imagination in this fun and flexible 6-week sculpture course led by Alli—our resident sculptor, clay figure enthusiast, and Creative Director/ Co-owner of The Wheel House! With a degree in Ceramic Sculpture and over 18 years of teaching experience, Alli will guide you through the entire process—from a simple ball of clay to a fully realized sculpted masterpiece. Whether you’re brand new to clay or ready to level up your sculpting skills, this hands-on course is open to all experience levels. You’ll learn essential techniques for building strong, expressive forms, including: • How to sculpt solid and hollow forms • Working with armatures and supports • Attaching and refining details like hands, faces, fur, or texture • Surface techniques and finishing tips for expressive final pieces Bring your ideas and reference images—we’ll help you bring them to life! Not sure what to sculpt? Alli has tons of fun ideas and inspiring demos to spark your creativity. Students have made all kinds of amazing pieces, including: • Mythical creatures • Animal busts and full figures • Wall-hanging faces and masks • Garden gnomes and totems • Sculptural planters • Whimsical characters • Abstract forms …and much more! Class Details: • Duration: 6 weeks • Class Time: 2.5 hours per week • Includes clay, tools, materials, and firing This is your time to experiment, play, and build something totally unique. Cancellation Policy
Booking, Cancellation, and Waitlist Policy Booking: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot in the class. Early registration is recommended as classes fill up quickly. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. Our full policy on Cancellations, Refunds, and Exchanges can be found here: https://thewheelhousenh.notion.site/14d1653845c380968d0ae586c0c310f7 Below is a simplified summary: If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, we will help to reschedule you into another class if you give us a call at 603-368-1017. Up until 24 hours before your upcoming class would end, or 7 days before your multi-week course would begin, you can cancel your reservation for a refund less a 5% processing fee. Please email us to request a cancellation. In the event that The Wheel House needs to cancel a class, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to another class. Waitlist: If a class is full, you may join the waitlist at no cost. We will notify waitlisted individuals via email if a spot becomes available. Waitlisted spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and you will have no more than 6 hours to respond before we offer the spot to the next person on the list.
